- DK GLobal Energy Resources' objectives are to operate without harm to people or the environment and be among the front runners in pursuing its business in an environmentally acceptable manner.
- This applies to emissions and discharges, as well as the use of natural resources where biological diversity could be adversely affected.
- This 'zero harm' goal places heavy demands on the choice of technology and the way in which we conduct our operations
- Knowledge of an area and its ecosystem is a necessary prerequisite for selecting environmentally appropriate solutions.
- Environmental technology plays a prominent role in DK GLobal Energy Resources' technology strategy and is an essential component in meeting our business challenges.
DK's Community Relations
DK GLobal Energy Resources' community program aims to:
- Empower the community through equity participation and direct benefit from field infrastructures
- Prioritize residents living in the immediate vicinity of our operations for employment;
- Encourage development of local businesses through the awards of contracts to qualified local contractors;
- Provide education assistance exclusively for its host communities by awarding secondary and tertiary scholarship program;
- Assist government-managed health facilities;
- Implement appropriate infrastructure projects in order to improve the quality of life in host communities including:
- Aim to provide portable water supplies, Road/drainage construction, rural electrification, Construction of community buildings such as town halls and market stalls.
- Support other charitable projects that have positive impact on local communities.
